November 11th, 2015 – Leicester, UK – EndoSoft® is set to demonstrate their latest release of the world’s first paper-free referral & vetting solution, Approvon®, at the Acute and General Medicine Conference on November 12th and 13th at London ExCeL.
Approvon® was developed in close cooperation with Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust to reduce waiting lists through a paper-free vetting process. According to the report “Inpatient and Outpatient Waiting in the NHS” from the National Audit Office, 270 consultants interviewed thought 10% of referrals were inappropriate, whilst 40 consultants noted that 80% of referrals were wrong. Inaccurate referrals not only affect waiting lists but impact NHS budgets by increasing costs.
With the use of Approvon®, erroneous referrals are eliminated from waiting lists, increasing efficiency of clinics. With Approvon® clinical vetting and 2-stage pre-assessment, inappropriate referrals are reduced, and data quality is improved.
