Schenectady, New York May 1st, 2023 – EndoSoft® is excited to introduce its revolutionary AI-driven software offering, Argus®, at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) on May 7th – 9th. Argus® is an AI-driven platform that streamlines physicians’ workflow and helps to improve patient outcomes by assisting to detect and size polyps with greater accuracy and efficiency. Argus® also possesses natural language processing (NLP) capabilities for procedure documentation to see, hear, and document what physicians see and say during a procedure in real-time.
Using computer-aided polyp detection (CADe), computer-aided polyp sizing (CAPs), and machine learning (ML), Argus® uses the feed from video processors to assist with identifying polyps during colonoscopy procedures. For the aforementioned procedures, EndoSoft® has received a US patent on its polyp detection and sizing modules. Physicians use Argus® to automatically determine the size of a lesion in vivo and capture the images so they can be included in the procedure report if desired.
Being demonstrated for the first time at DDW, EndoSoft® is debuting the NLP capabilities of Argus®. Argus® documents procedures in real-time using voice-activated functions to label images, document procedure reports, and automatically record quality metrics. Argus® continues to streamline the documentation process by using AI-based automatic speech recognition (ASR) to document tissues submitted and print the pathology jar labels. All of this is done during the procedure in real-time. Argus is a vendor-neutral software that can be integrated with your existing EHR and hardware. This integration allows the use of Argus® AI software anywhere within your network.
Making a noticeable impact in gastroenterology, Argus® is improving physicians’ workflows and reducing the time it takes to generate report documentation. With its advanced algorithms and machine learning, Argus® has significantly improved the accuracy of polyp detection in real-time while adding the benefit of in vivo sizing of lesions.
About Argus®
As pioneering GI artificial intelligence software, Argus® not only detects polyps at a much higher rate (+19% ADR in a recent trial) but it also quickly and easily sizes polyps, enabling gastroenterologists to measure polyps more precisely. With this patented polyp detection and sizing, Argus® leads the next generation of AI for GI EHR systems. By incorporating the latest improvements in AI and natural language processing (NLP), Argus® pushes the outer limits of AI technology for GI.
Argus® integrates with all EHR systems, endoscopes, and video processors. Argus® aids in the detection and sizing of polyps within the GI tract using computer aided detection (CADe) and computer aided polyp sizing (CAPs). Argus® assists clinicians with the detection of polyps and other luminal abnormalities. Argus® utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and deep machine learning all while capturing images simultaneously in real time.
Polyp detection & sizing functionalities of Argus® are NOT available in the United States. For information on current offerings, you can visit the official Argus® website.
